Mr. Bassary Touré elected Vice-President of African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (AFRACA)

Lomé, 30 November 2016. Mr. Bassary Touré, Vice-President of BOAD, was elected Vice-President of African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (AFRACA) for a 2-year term. This appointment was made during the 19th General Assembly of the Association held in Dakar on 25 November 2016 on the sidelines the 5th World Conference on Rural and Agricultural Finance.

BOAD receives a XOF92 billion credit facility from AfDB

Lomé, 21 November 2016. Messrs. Bassary Toure, Vice-President of the West African Development Bank (BOAD), and Serge Nguessan, Resident Representative of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Togo, signed an agreement under which AfDB granted to BOAD a credit facility of €140 million, or roughly XOF92 billion.

Lomé, 21 novembre 2016. Messieurs Bassary TOURE, Vice-Président de la Banque ouest- africaine de développement (BOAD), et Serge NGUESSAN, Représentant résident de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) au Togo, ont signé une convention aux termes de laquelle la BAD octroie à la BOAD un crédit de de 140 millions d’euros, soit environ 92 milliards de F CFA.

BOAD grants XOF6 billion loan for the implementation of a deconcentrated rural electrification project in Togo

Lomé, 4 November 2016. A XOF6 billion loan agreement was signed by and between Mr. Christian Adovelande, President of BOAD, and Mr. Sani Yaya, Minister of Economy and Finance of Togo, for the partial funding of the deconcentrated rural electrification project using solar PV in 62 communities located in the 5 administrative regions of Togo. In addition to this direct loan from BOAD, the project should also receive a loan in an amount of XOF14.183 billion from the BOAD-administered Energy Development Fund (FDE) set up by the highest authorities of WAEMU.
