BOAD and Attijariwafa Bank sign a partnership agreement

Christian Adovelande and Mohamed El Kettani, respectively President of BOAD and Chairman & CEO of Attijariwafa Bank Group (Morocco), signed a partnership agreement by and between the two institutions. The purpose of this agreement is to establish a wide-ranging cooperation between the two institutions in project finance, advisory financial services and capital market access in the entire WAEMU region. Combining the expertise and know-how of both institutions will help accelerate the momentum of financing and supporting major projects, developing capital markets by deploying several instruments in favour of customers, and ultimately, serving better the continent’s needs.

Mr. Christian Adovelande, President of BOAD stated: “We are delighted at this partnership which will allow us to accelerate our strategy for supporting major projects by availing of Attijariwafa bank Group’s experience in project finance, PPPs and capital markets.” Mr. Mohamed El Kettani, Chairman & CEO of Attijariwafa bank Group said: “We are pleased to have forged this partnership with BOAD, which is a player strongly involved in the economic development of the WAEMU region. Such an agreement will allow us the opportunity to implement together growth-generating projects for our continent.”
