Côte d’Ivoire reiterates its appreciation to BOAD
BOAD, through Mr. Oumar Tembely, Chief of its Resident Mission in Côte d’Ivoire, was made Officer of the Ordre National de Côte d’Ivoire at the official inauguration of the Jacqueville Bridge on 21 March 2015. BOAD contributed an amount XOF6.607 billion to the construction of this infrastructure, which will make it possible to ensure under better conditions of safety a direct and permanent link between the Jacqueville department and other parts of the Ivorian territory.
This award followed on from that of Mr. Christian Adovelande, President of BOAD, who was made Commander of the Ordre National de Côte d’Ivoire at the official inauguration of the Henri-Konan Bedie bridge and the interchange on Boulevard Valéry Giscard d’Estaing on 16 December 2014. These reflected Côte d’Ivoire’s gratitude to its key donor in the area of transport infrastructure. To date, BOAD contributed an amount of XOF158.6 billion to this sector, or nearly 28% of total commitments in Côte d’Ivoire amounting to XOF571 billion, all sectors combined.
