FOLLOWING MOODY’S, FITCH RATINGS IN TURN RENEWS BOAD’S INVESTMENT GRADE RATING FOR THE 6TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
Lomé, 18 May 2021. As a result of its annual review, the international rating agency Fitch Ratings recently notified the West African Development Bank (BOAD) of the renewal of its investment grade rating “BBB” with negative outlook.
The rating assigned by Ficth Ratings confirms BOAD’s financial soundness, which reflects its resilience to the Covid-19 health crisis as well as the intrinsic quality of its creditworthiness, which remains one of the top three on the African continent.
This is a satisfaction for BOAD whose rating has been confirmed, year in year out, since 2015 by international rating agencies.
