CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION FUND (FA)
CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION FUND (FA)
The purpose of the Adaptation Fund is to finance climate change adaptation projects in developing countries that are parties to the Kyoto Protocol. Since its official launch in 2007, it has financed projects in over 60 countries to the tune of some $500 million. Its financing was initially designed to be ensured by the valorization of a portion of the carbon credits generated by developed countries financing projects that reduce or avoid greenhouse gas emissions in developing countries.
