INTERGOVERNMENTAL PANEL ON CLIMATE CHANGE (IPCC)

The IPCC was set up in 1988 by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), with the support of the G7. The IPCC’s mission is to provide neutral, independent and comprehensive assessments of the state of scientific, technical and socio-economic knowledge about climate change, its causes, potential impacts and coping strategies.
