RENEWABLE ENERGIES

The term renewable energy is used to designate energies which, on a human scale at least, are inexhaustible and available in large quantities. There are five main types of renewable energy: solar, wind, hydro, biomass and geothermal. What they have in common is that they produce little or no pollutant emissions during the operating phase, thereby helping to combat the greenhouse effect and global warming.
