UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION TO COMBAT DESERTIFICATION (CNULCD)

It was the last of the three Rio conventions to be adopted. It was adopted in Paris in 1994, and aims to prevent and/or reduce land degradation through actions to combat desertification by promoting the rehabilitation of degraded land. It meets every two (2) years during the Conference of the Parties.
