Lomé, August 29, 2023. The commemoration of BOAD’s fiftieth anniversary was a time for reflection and exchange, with the central theme of the event being: ” 2023-2073: financing development differently, the BOAD of the next fiftieth anniversary “. In line with this theme, and ahead of the official ceremonies to be held in November, six (06) thematic online workshops are being organized from August 23 to October 11, whose conclusions and recommendations will give rise to a forward-looking document. This compendium will be submitted to investors, BOAD staff, administrators, Ministers and High Authorities of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
The first workshop, held on August 23 and 24, 2023, focused on the theme “Financing infrastructure development for successful regional integration”.

The Banque Ouest Africaine de Développement (BOAD) is the joint development finance institution of the countries of the West African Monetary Union (WAMU).
